Hello
I will be publishing my football picks here on my blog every week. My football tips will be mainly from the English football league, but will also include plays from Spain along with some Champions League and Internationals.
Please remember that there will of course be good runs and also bad runs. If you are going to follow my picks, please be sensible and NEVER bet with money that you can not afford to lose. For example a 10 unit play should only be around 3% of your overall bank.
Have fun and Good Luck :-)

Pick: Blackpool Result: Pending Stake: 7/10 Odds: 2.43

OK, I know that this Blackpool side have fallen from grace in recent weeks and hardly resemble the team that they were earlier in the season. However, I feel the price on them in this game is far too big to ignore.
It is important to remember that Wigan are still below Blackpool in the table. There is also the fact that Blackpool hold the home advantage. Although both teams are struggling, I really believe that when the heat is on, Blackpool will come out on top in this one.
Take the Home side here.
Good Luck ;-)

Pick: Everton Result: 2-2 Stake: 7/10 Odds: 2.05

I think that Everton are good value in this spot. They are missing a couple of key players in Fellaini and Arteta but I still think that they have enough about them to see this one through at home.
Villas poor away record is another reason for this selection. Only Wolves have a worse away record than Villa on the road this season and they seem to be a side short of confidance.
Villa have only managed to beat Wolves and Wigan on the road this season and you would have to fancy Everton at home here. And with these sort of odds on offer it is worth taking on.
Take Everton in this one.
Good Luck ;-)

Good odds on offer here for an in form Tottenham side. Spurs have only lost the one league game at White Hart Lane this season. Strangely enough that defeat came against Wigan back in August. But with that hiccup aside they have been solid enough at home all season and continue to go from strength to strength under Harry Redknapp's management.
Liverpool on the other hand, have shown patches of form this season but have been very inconsistant. They have shown some improvement lately but not enough to convince me that they can take out Spurs at White Hart Lane. Liverpool have been very poor away from home this season and have only won once on the road. Their task will not be made any easier today due to the absence of their skipper Steven Gerrard.
There is a chance that Liverpool could sit in and force a draw here. With defensive midfielders like Lucas and Poulsen in their ranks this is always a possibility. However, I think that Spurs will have a bit too much for them today.
Take Spurs in this one.
Good Luck ;-)

Pick: Birmingham (-0.5) Result: 2-2 Stake: 7/10 Odds: 2.05

Going to go with the better team here and the home advantage. West ham have been very poor this season and their place at the bottom of the table clearly shows this. They have managed to pick up just 3 points from their last 10 away games while leaking 23 goals. They will also be without Mark Noble who has been one of their better players this season and could also be without Matt Upson in their already dodgy defence.
Its fair to say that Birmingham have also not been at their best at St Andrews. They have only lost one of their last 10 Home games but it is the 6 draws during that period which have held up the Blues progress.
I do think that a punt on them at this price against a struggling Hammers side represents good value though.
Take the Blues in this one
Good Luck ;-)

At first glance this selection may seem confusing to some. Sunderland have gone 12 games without a win. They are in terrible form and facing a better team who have just achieved an outstanding result in their Europa League midweek game. But when you look at things a little closer then this selection starts to make much more sense.
Although Fulham are enjoying a decent season in the Premiership and Europa leagues, they will be missing a few players today who have been key to this success. Johnson, Panstil and Clint Dempsey will all be absent today and Konchesky and Zamora are likely to join them. This is a huge burden on what is already a very small Fulham squad. They should also be feeling the physical effects of their midweek trip to the Ukraine and the performance that they gave to earn an excellent victory there. When you combine this with the fact that Fulham have won only once away from home all season then this selection starts to look a little better.
Sunderland have not done too well so far this season but in fairness to them they have had some terrible luck with injuries. They have had to endure long spells without key players such as Kieron Richardson and Lee Cattermole. Today they will have a full squad available with the exception of Andy Reid and Jordan Henderson. They are a lot better at home and have a solid enough record at the stadium of Light to justify a selection here with a small handicap.
Take Sunderland (-0.25) in this one
Good Luck ;-)

Birmingham's home form has been fairly solid this season while Wigan have been inconsistent both home and away. Barry Ferguson should also be declared fit for the Blues which should provide a boost to their midfield. This Wigan side are capable of beating anyone in the Premier League when they are on top of their game and have some great individual players who can cause big problems. Birmingham are a much more organised outfit though and should prove very difficult to beat at home in this game.
Birmingham have only lost 3 of their last 10 games ATS. Wigan on the other hand, have only won 3 ATS. Wigan should see Titus Bramble return to the heart of their defence today. I can see Bramble and the rest of the Wigan back four been kept busy today by Jerome and the energetic Benitez. All in all, I can see Birmingham's consistency and organisation combined with their work-rate in the midfield being the key deciding factor here today. And been in front of their own fans they blues could have too much for this hot and cold Wigan side. A bet with a small handicap on a more consistant team playing at home looks to be a good choice here.
Take the Blues (-0.25) in this one
Good Luck ;-)
